Michael Tlatelpa is a fifth grade student at Lounsberry and an inentive and talented artist.  This afternoon he brought in his art work and granted us an interview.

What do you use to make your creations? “Clay (Primo Sculpy and Sculpy 3), lego bases, paint, hot glue, permanent markers and labels.”

How did you think of creating Lego Customs? “It started when I got my first lego set, Sponge Bob’s House . Other people make them; you can find them on Youtube. I used to sneak on to Youtube to see what others were creating. I also make videos. My video channel is Megasegastar221 ”

How long does it take to make one?  ‘At  least two hours for a small one. Big Bird has 200 feathers and took me at least four hours to make.”

How do you think of the characters? “ I started with my favorite characters; many from TV and video games. My first video game was Sonic the Hedgehog.”

Do you sell them?  “Sometimes. Mr. V told me I could sell them for $10- . I will try to sell them for Treps next year.”

How do you feel about being interviewed on our blog?  “I’m honored. I was so excited when Mr. V told me. Everyone in the class said, “Go Michael!”
